Various Creatures of God's Creation

By Unknown - February 15, 2018

The creature is an Arabic word absorption (مخلوق) which means "created", as opposed to the word Kholik (خالق) meaning "Creator." In general, this word refers to a living organism created by God.

In addition, beings can also refer to:

  • Spirits are God's supernatural beings such as jinns, angels and others.
  • A living being, is a collection of mutually affecting molecules.
  • Beings of legend, are creatures contained in legends or fairy tales, such as dragons, bijuu, or monsters.

Understanding Beings according to Islam

According to the Shari'a of Islam, all of Allah's creation is a creature, including the universe and its contents, ie 'Throne, sky, stars, earth, water and others and the creatures first created by Allah are pens (القلم, al-Qalam)  he was assigned to write all the destiny of all things until the doomsday came.

In another argument it is said that the first creature created by God is water, based on the verse of the Quranic Surah Hud, which reads:

7  It is He who created the heavens and the earth in six days—and His Throne was upon the waters—in order to test you—which of you is best in conduct. And if you were to say, "You will be resurrected after death," those who disbelieve would say, "This is nothing but plain witchcraft."
QS. Hud (11) : 7

The verse above tells us that the existence of water is much earlier than the existence of heaven and earth. So water is older than heaven and earth. This is corroborated by the words of another Prophet Muhammad  S.A.W

Rasulullah S.A.W :"He is the God who (at that time) has nothing but Him, whereas' His Throne is upon water, then He writes in adz-Dhikr of all things (which shall be), then He created the heavens and the earth."
(Narrated by Bukhari, no: 2953)

Upholded by the hadith of Abdullah bin Amru, that the Messenger S.A.W  said: "God has set fate for all beings fifty years before God created the heavens and the earth. The Messenger S.A.W added: '... and' Allah's Throne is on the water. '
(Narrated By Muslim, no: 4797).

Then Ibn Hajar explains in Fathul Bari that the verses and hadiths are combined and compromised, the first being created is water, then 'Arsy then the pen. Hadith that explains "... the first time Allah created is a pen .." meaning first is after the water and 'Arsy. (more...)

In the general view of human beings, God's creatures can be classified into two types:
  • Creatures that can be observed with the five senses of man
Earth with all its contents is always interesting to be studied. Millions of species of animals and plants live in different parts of the world with their individual habitats. International Institute for Species Exploration (IISE) notes that there are ten species of animals and new plants that scientists have found in various parts of the world.
Similarly in the sky, there are millions of stars, various celestial bodies, and various galaxy that can diobervasi with various modern technologies..
  • Beings that can not be observed by the five senses of man.
Supernatural beings (or 'supernatural beings' only) are mentioned in the Qur'an, namely: angels, jinns, devils and demons. They are creatures that still form the "spirit" (the simplest form of all creatures), because the spirit of the supernatural beings is considered to have no nature to merge with the body of the container. But there is also another assumption, that their bodies are the material 'smallest'.

"In this article we discuss God's creation:
Man (created from dry mud), Angels (created from light), and Jin (created from an ignorant flame). The third forming element of this kind of God's creature is a difference, resulting in the nature and behavior of the three kinds of creatures that are also different. Humans have the roughest element of formation than jinns and angels. Therefore, humans have limited space and time compared to jinn and angels, which have a smoother forming element than humans. The roughness of human nature, causing it can not be fast to move places of space and time. It is not so with jinn and angels, who can move in a very fast time because of the delicate element of physical formation. This is the law of nature which is also the law of God."
